Little is known of the Yankton and Lakota Sioux featured in the Frank B. Fiske collection. The original sepiatone photos are reminiscent of a bygone era, a time that preceded two world wars and the modern world as we know it. Seemingly out of place, Joe No Heart is a man between two distinct worlds. Still leaving much to the imagination, he is brought back into living color for the fist time since the original photos were taken.
